Becc Orszag
Autocue

Becc Orszag’s drawings of eerie mountain scapes and figures engaged in ritualistic actions imply an unexplained history; off-handed notations and seemingly careless markings surround these meticulously rendered scenes. Working from found imagery, Orszag removes figures from their original contexts into dissected, re-imagined, illusionary realms. Gestures are exaggerated, mimicry is amplified and gazes are obscured. The artist explores the de-individualisation of society, voyeurism and the mindless acceptance of what we witness.
